Went to dinner with friends last night at Bubba Gumps in Long Beach. We had a great time enjoying the night out with them, doing a lot of talking, laughing, answering Forrest Gump trivia with the waitress, and of course a wonderful meal. So much of a wonderful meal that we all decided we needed to walk off our dinner. The weather was perfect for a stroll along the waterfront. I sometimes forget how lucky we are living here in good 'ol So CA. The high in Chicago was 38 degrees yesterday, yet we were walking along the water at 8 o'clock at night, without a jacket. Pure bliss.
I tried taking a few pictures of the Queen Mary, but don't have the settings quite figured out yet for bright lighting in the distance. The pictures will still go on a scrapbook layout though as a reminder of good times with good friends. Thanks Roger and Rebecca for a night to remember!

Here it is THIS weekend, and I'm finally getting back to LAST weekend. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures, I was afraid to have my camera in the cold for too long, but here are a few to share. The first picture is right before we left. Bright, chilly and a bit cloudy, but a beautiful day. From there you can see the drastic change in the weather. My mom and dad inlaw live about 40 miles from Sequoia National Park, so we were quite surprised to arrive in a major snow storm. The temperature on the car said 20 degrees! We were the only people there, and only saw about 10 cars once we got on the mountain roads. We had a great time skiing, playing in the snow, and enjoying the peace and quiet. I'm glad we decided not to camp, spending the day was just perfect!

Tonight is the first I have even sat down at the computer since returning home from our little weekend getaway. So much to tell you about, but not enough time.
I'll update tomorrow on all the fun.
(Is it seriously Easter this Sunday?? Wasn't it just Valentines Day??

We're headed up to my inlaws for the weekend, and supposed to be camping in Sequoia National Park. But, after a phone call from Dad-in-law yesterday, we might just be hanging out at their house, and not camping since a storm is coming in that might bring SNOW to Sequoia. Either way, I know we'll have a great time! I love being up there, out in the country, away from it all. They live on the side of a hill, with only 1 neighbor for as far as you can see. This is a picture I took last winter looking out their dining room window. Down in the left corner you can just barely see the boat dock for the lake. What a view. Mountains and a lake.
I'll be back Monday, well rested and I'm sure with stories to tell.
Have a great weekend!

Aren't these just the cutest stamps you've ever seen! I bought these yesterday and just can't wait to use them. I've got alot on my plate this week, so it might not be until next week that they find their way on a layout, but I just had to share them now.

I can't believe it's already Monday again. Seems like it was just Friday afternoon.
I spent Saturday running errands, and of course had to mix in a little shopping fun.
I made a quick visit to Paris to the Moon. Gosh I just love that little store! I always find something fun. One of my next favorite stores is Where's the Party, and since they are just right across the street from each other, I had to go there too! I bought some felt ribbons and gift cards to use on some layouts.
I worked part of the day Sunday, spent the late afternoon at the park with my youngest one, and then made it back home in time for dinner.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend too!

I know this isn't the pictures of the Sheriff's Station (sorry Grandma & Grandpa) but I just have to share this layout I did this morning before work. Please excuse the crooked scan though, I'm having scanner issues today! This is from his field trip last week to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. (and no, I'm not that caught up that I am scrapbooking events from last week, I just saw these pictures and knew the new Kaiser Craft paper that we have at the store would be perfect for them. In reality, I'm still working on photos from the 80's too)
Thanks for all the emails asking about Tucker. He legs seem to be fine today. A few tests with his pediatrician and maybe then we can find out what's going on.

I know I'm up for the Bad Blogger Award since I haven't posted anything in over a week, but oh what a week it was!
As you know last Saturday was the trip to the Sheriff's Station. (I'll post pictures tomorrow I promise)
And from there, the week seemed to go down hill. Saturday night we found ourselves buying a new dishwasher since the old one quit working that afternoon. Had a new one delivered Sunday afternoon, and all was great.
Monday evening the TV in our family room made a loud POP and the screen went blank, so we spent Tuesday and Wednesday evenings looking for a new TV.
Thursday was uneventful.
Friday night during the night Tucker woke up crying that his leg was hurting. We got him up, walked him around figuring it was a charlie horse, or muscle spasm. He finally fell asleep for a few hours.
Saturday we were in the ER with Tucker. He was having horrible pains in both legs, right behind his knees. He couldn't walk, or even stand up. After x-rays, some tylenol with codeine and sitting there for over 4 hours, they gave us a whole list of things "it could be", but no real reason for what was happening. We have to follow up with his pediatrician this week for some testing.
Sunday we spent the day at home so Tucker could rest. He and I scrapbooked the afternoon away. He was so excited about the Christmas layout he made since he took the pictures with his own camera, printed them and made the layout with out any help. He loves to dig through my scrap paper for his creations. I don't think it will be in the pages of Creating Keepsakes, but I love it!
So that was my week.
It's finally Monday morning and things already seem to be going better!
