Goodbye Summer

We are off this morning for a weeklong vacation.
I'll be back Tuesday with plenty of pictures and I'm sure a few stories to tell!

and yes, I know I misspelled "already" on the ultrasound layout. We'll just say the misspelling is due to pregnancy. (not!) I've "already" corrected it, and both of these are "already" in their albums :)
Thanks to Nora for these...I went to her class last weekend (totally last minute!) and had a great time. She's the "here's what I did on my layout, here's your paper, now go create" kind of gal..loved it!

Pregnancy Week 27

Each week I get an email from Web M.D., that tells you what's happening at this point in your pregnancy. As I read the email that came today, I wonder why in the heck anyone would ever want to be pregnant, especially more than once.
Here is this week's info:
"As baby gets bigger and stronger this month, you may experience leg cramps and mild swelling of ankles and feet, difficulty sleeping, shortness of breath, lower abdominal aches, clumsiness and scattered Braxton Hicks contractions."
As I read each "ailment" I mentally checked each one off the list.
Yep, I have them all.

Then I look over across my desk where I have pictures of my 3 boys. Suddenly I remember why I would do it all over again.

Olympic Flashback

In honor of the Olympics, I dug out an old layout that I did back in January 2002, the day after we went to see the Olympic Torch. I still like the layout, but it seems like there are too many straight lines, too much matting etc. I'm just dying to add some bling, or a flower or some inking. Something to soften it up a bit. But it's pages like this that show how scrapbooking has changed, well, at least for me. I do kinda like that map I did showing the route the flame took. I guess I was feeling creative that day. LOL(oh, and sorry for the goofy scan...scanner is not cooperating, so I took the picture with my camera...crooked and everything!)

Big Brother to Be

On Saturday we took Tucker to a "Big Brother/Big Sister to Be" class at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, the hospital where we will be having the baby.
The kids had to bring a Teddy Bear to class, which he then learned how to diaper, wrap up in a blanket and hold the correct way.
We went into a Labor and Delivery Room, and Tucker got to "ride" in the bed like Mommy will, and even got to visit the nursery and see the newborn babies.
It was a great class for a Big Brother to Be!

Sons

Yes, I am totally excited about having a girl, but, there is still something special about the bond between a Mother and her Son.
Like when your 18 year old son brings this home to you.
I love it, and I love you Austin.
Thanks,
Mom

Birch Aquarium

On Sunday we went to the Birch Aquarium down in La Jolla. We had never been there before, and even though it is fairly small, we had a great time. I can't wait to do a few layouts with the pictures I took!

Time Together

Wednesday night Austin wanted to take Tucker to Disneyland. Andrew was working until 7, and after Andrew was finished working, he would hang out with them. (Andrew works at D-land) Tucker was so excited to spend the evening with his brothers at the Happiest Place on Earth.
That meant that Clayton and I would have a night together, just us, no kids, a nice quiet dinner and then a few hours alone. After a wonderful dinner I asked "well, where next?" (we still had at least 2 hours) Clayton said, "Do you want to go to Babies R Us?" I said ya! We laughed all the way there about how we had a night to ourselves, but we wanted to go look at baby clothes.
That's when we found these.
Are these not the cutest little boots you have ever seen??
And the matching vest.
There's a hat too.
All size 3-6 months. I can't wait to see her wearing them!
Yep, it was a great night!

click on the photo too see them up close...I know you want to see how cute these are!
