{Adornit Blog Hop}

Hi and Welcome!
For those of you that are visiting my blog for the first time, I'm Mary Ann from sunny Southern California, my hubby and I have three boys ages 22, 19 & 8, and one little princess that's 8 months old. I love to scrapbook, and am excited to be part of the ADORNit Blog Hop
On my first layout, I used all Adornit papers and had fun tearing and shabby-ing it up a bit. (click on the layouts to see them up close!!)

On this next layout, I used more Adornit papers, and love how these modern 2009 papers go perfectly with photos of me from 1968. (I think my only question is why I have on the same outfit in the picture of me in Utah as the one of me in Virginia?? lol)

With all the home improvements going on around here it's been about 3 weeks since I've touched my paper trimmer. Oh it was a good day!!

{Summer}

Summer is in full swing around here. (that would be why this blog has been so neglected the past week) From trips to Disneyland, the movies, museums, the park, a rubber stamp show, a flea market and many visits to Home Depot and Lowe's. It seems like we are always running here or there, which hasn't left much time for scrapbooking. I'm hoping this next week won't be quite so busy :)

{My newest Marshall's Finds}

I like to keep my new scrapping goodies out for a few days after I buy them, and this is perfect to keep them in! 12 x 12 paper fits in the back compartment, and there's plenty of room in the front for embellishments.
The best part, at one time it was $16.99, but it had been marked down to just $6.99!!
I also found this cool apothecary jar that sell for up to $49.00 at Pottery Barn for just $9.99. After I added the plant and rocks etc., I also added a sweet little birds nest and eggs. I've seen these in so many home dec magazines lately, I had to give it a try. I love how it turned out!
I've loved Target forever, but Marshall's sure is working it's way up the list!

{Tuesday Evening}

We had a great time.
Yummy food and fireworks with family and friends.


(no, I don't condone putting sparklers in your mouth, but if your teenage son is silly enough to do it, I'll take a picture of it)
This sweet little one fell asleep about half way through all the fireworks!

And now we are getting ready to enjoy this and some delicious tri-tip for dinner.

Summer is off to a great start!

{July 3}

We're getting things ready for tomorrow.
BBQ-ing with friends and neighbors,
and as soon as dusk hits it's sparkler time!

{Cupcake Love}

Gracie and I had a girls day out today.
After a morning of shopping,
we met up with some friends at Miss Priss Cupcakes.
There's nothing better than cupcakes and milk on a warm summer afternoon!

After being gone for 2 weeks, I spent part of today catching up on some of my favorite blogs. I was surpried to find this here. So fun!!

I have an old frame, a nest and some eggs, and definitely have some scrapbook paper to use for a background. I think I'll be crafting one of these tomorrow!!
