{Wednesday}

Here's a layout of Andrew and Austin with pics from 17 years ago. I still can't believe my two oldest are now 20 and 22 years old now. I miss those days before they started school and we could spend all day at the park.And here's one of Gracie from Thanksgiving day. We don't see this shy side very much, but I love it when we do.Tomorrow is a field trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano. I know a certain 4th. grader probably won't get much sleep tonight because he is so excited. I'm looking forward to it too, and have the camera all ready to go!

Here's a layout I did for a challenge going on over at the Adornit Blog. Each month, for 10 months, there will be a challenge to complete a page that focuses on the "Bits and Pieces of Everyday Life". At the end of the 10 months you will have 10 completed layouts about the small moments in life that make everyday special. So cool! For February the theme was "Lucky Everyday" and the requirements were to use:
-Something with polka dots
-Ribbon that has been pleated or folded
-A journaling spot
Thanks Adornit for the creative ideas! We can all use a jump start sometimes to get going on a layout, and this was perfect.
Check out their BLOG and play along too!

patterned papers - My Little Shoebox, American Crafts, Making Memories
rhinestones - Heidi Swapp
journaling spots - Lil Davis
alpha stickers - My Little Shoebox
ribbon - Offray
cardstock- Bazzill Basics
and the doilie, oh that came with our dessert at dinner last week : )

{Happy Saturday}

Another fun and quick layout to share, and yes there's more butterflies!
ledger paper - Making Memories
polka dot paper - My Minds Eye
butterflies - K & Co.
alphas - Thickers by American Crafts
ribbon - Offray
rhinestones
I still have a few pics from December and January, but after those are completed, I will feel pretty caught up with Gracie's scrapbook. Now I gotta get hoppin' on layouts for the boys to get them caught up again. I'm just having so much fun using pink and purple and girly things, sometimes it's hard to go back to doing pages for the boys.
More rain is supposed to be headed this way to good 'ol So Cali tomorrow. That sounds like a perfect day for scrapping!

{My Beautiful Girl}

Here's a layout I did this morning using the new Serendipity line from K & Co. I love the bright colors and beautiful flowers!

floral paper, border sticker, butterfly, 3-d sticker : K & Co.
lined paper: My Minds Eye
rhinestone swirl: Recollections (Michael's)
alpha stickers: Making Memories
scallop punch: Marvy Uchida

I have plenty more pictures of this sweet little girl that I need to scrapbook, as today was her first gymnastics class. I of course had my camera in hand and took tons of photos. She loved the balance beam, the slide and circle time. She really loved when Miss Elise stamped a butterfly on her leg. I thought it was cute too, until the mean-nasty-rude lady at Michael's thought it was a tattoo and told me how wrong it was. Seriously lady, she's 1 year old! I did remember to take a picture of her "butterfly tattoo". I can't wait to do the layout about that one!

You know it's a perfect day for shopping when you walk into Pottery Barn and see your initials on display ; )

Happy Valentine's Day!

{Friday}

It's Friday, and I haven't scrapbooked since Monday. Seriously need to correct that problem this weekend : ) I did get to watch Tucker do a bit of crafting last night though. His homework from his math teacher...make a Valentines day card for his classroom teacher. I plugged in my Cricut, and the rest he did all by himself.
This morning I thought I might cut out a few hearts to decorate the breakfast table on Sunday. Gracie had other ideas though, and thought she needed to decorate the bathroom with toilet paper. I'm looking forward to Valentines Day, whether the table is decorated or not ; )
Have a great weekend!

Today was such a beautiful day!! No school due to Lincoln's birthday, so it was a perfect time to spend the afternoon in Huntington Beach. The drive back home along Pacific Coast Highway at sunset was so pretty! Here's a quick pic I took thru the car window.
This is for all my friends buried under the snowstorms that have just hit the East coast ;) We're due for more rain tomorrow, but today was picture perfect.

{Friday}

Another beautiful day of rain today! Not so great when you have a photo shoot planned, but beautiful nonetheless. Perfect for sitting in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate.
I love days like today!

We have a birthday party to attend tonight at my most favorite place on earth, Chuck E. Cheese. NOT! While shopping last night for said birthday party present, I caught this funny pic of little Miss Gracie as we turned the corner to the Baby Isle at the Baby Store (Target). Oh how she loves her babies!!
More rain is forecast for the weekend, so bundle up and enjoy!

{Tuesday}

We had a great time at Grandpa & Grandma's this past weekend, and even spent a day skiing. Having in law's that both used to work in Sequoia National Park definitely has it's perks! They know the "hidden" areas that are perfect for skiing, that the rest of the world doesn't seem to know about. The whole time we were there, we only saw 2 other people. Nothing like having the mountain to yourself : ) I took over 200 photos since it was Gracie's first time in the snow, (which by the way she LOVED), but didn't even look at them after I downloaded them. I needed my media card empty for a photo shoot this afternoon, so I still need to check them out. I do have these 2 pics that I took with my phone that I sent to everyone back home stuck in the city. ha ha

I love this photo of Tucker wearing a pair of Grandma's old ski pants. It wasn't 'till Saturday morning that we realized that it had been 2 winters since we had been skiing since Gracie was a newborn last year. That meant Tucker's ski pants were way too small. He wore Grandma's pants, and a pair of Grandpa's suspenders. The pants were huge on him, but he had the time of his life. Gracie loved being pulled in the sled and giggled even when she rolled out into the snow.
Oh, and that photo shoot...
I had my first real photography job today. A co-worker of a friend wanted engagement photos taken. We went to the park and got some great shots right at sunset. I have another shoot on Friday, and 2 more next week
Another part of a dream is coming true.
