{Thursday}

First, a layout with some of the Quite Contrary line from My Minds Eye, and a little bit of older Colorbok and Me and My Big Ideas.This picture of Gracie is one of those that you are laughing so hard as you try to take the pic, you are sure you're going to drop the camera. Such a silly girl! I was working on this layout in the middle of cooking dinner no less! Which then leads me to this...
You must try this Garlic Cheese Bread. It's from Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman that we all know and love, and has got to be the b-e-s-t Garlic Cheese Bread ever. Quick and easy to make, but so delicious. I may or may not have had 3 slices at dinner last night, and I may or may not have made more for lunch today ; )

Only 1 more day 'till the weekend, and I'm counting the hours!

{Getting in the Vintage Groove}

Starting this week, select Michael's stores are carrying the new Vintage Groove Jewelry Collection by Making Memories. As a Making Memories customer, I was chosen to be a part of this exciting launch, and had the fun of setting up the display at the Michael's in Orange, CA. As soon as I opened the boxes of goodness, I was in love! I can't wait to make something for myself to wear, and might even add a few pieces onto one of my scrapbook pages! For any of you that are local to me, head over to the Orange store to check it out. For those of you in other areas, here's a list of Michael's that are also carrying Vintage Groove Jewelry.
Happy Monday!

{Wednesday}

Just when you think you are almost caught up with your scrapbooks, (is there really such a thing as being caught up anyway??) you find pictures from when you son was 3. Now that wouldn't be too bad, except for the fact that he is now 23! So yes here's Andrew, the cutest little firefighter ever, way back in 1990.Have a great day!

{May We Never Forget}

Remembering back to where I was 9 years ago today when I heard the horrible news.It reminds me too as a photographer/scrapbooker how one photo really can make a big difference.

{Long Time No Blog}

Well school has been back in session for a week now, and I think we are finally back into our old routine. I sure am missing the lazy days of summer though!!
I've been progressing pretty well on removing the photos from Clayton's Grandma's photo albums. Some of the photos are stuck on the pages pretty good, so it is definitely a slow process, but I'm having such a good time looking at all the old pictures. I found a little time to scrapbook too...

I've also been busy helping my Mom go through things in her house. She is doing pretty good since my Dad died, but she wants to sell the house, so there are lots and lots of drawers and cupboards to go through. Mom never really was one to save mementos, but my Dad sure did, and I am so grateful for that! Here's 2 layouts I did last night with some of the things my Dad kept. Our old church directory from 1969.And, my Mom's Notary Public Certificate from 1967. Notice whose signature is on there as Governor of California, way before he ever became president of the United States. I'm going to take both of these layouts to show my Mom tomorrow...I'm hoping she will give them back ; )
