{Wednesday}

I used a little bit of everything on this one:
patterned papers: Crate and K & Co.  Journaling spot: Colorbok and Crate.  Alpha letters: American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket, Sassafrass and Making Memories.  Stickers: October Afternoon and American Crafts. Chipboard Sticker: My Minds Eye.
This was day 23 of our Yellowstone 2010 vacation, a stop for dinner in Winnemucca, NV, on our way back home. Grandpa was teaching Gracie the fine art of tongue rolling. Oh the silly things Grandpa's do :)

{Finally Friday}

I've got a busy day today, but I wanted to share this layout before I'm off for a day of adventure.  It's for the never ending Yellowstone 2010 album.
Love this layout, and the best part, the pic of the Montana skies is straight out of the camera. No photoshop on this one! That's really how the sky looked so many of the nights we were there. Amazing isn't it. Every night it would remind me of the old John Denver song "Wild Montana Skies."  I loved John Denver in my teens, and loved that song, but never totally understood it until I was smack dab in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana that it really meant something.
Ok, so I'm off for the day, in the middle of Southern California, so far away from those Montana skies, but I've got the memories ;)
Happy Friday!

{Wednesday}

I spent Friday night at Scrapbook Daisies, doing a little scrapbooking, and a whole lot of chatting. I didn't get very much finished, but I sure had fun!
I made this medallion, and instead of using it as a flower like is so popular to do right now, I turned it into an award ribbon on this Honor Roll layout.
There's supposed to be more rain headed to So Cali tonight and tomorrow. That's perfect scrapbooking weather you know ;)

March 21, 2011

{Monday, Monday}

Today is day 2 of a storm passing through So CA. Rain, rain, rain and I love it! Although a cloudy rainy day isn't the best for taking photos of new layouts ;)
Rock Collector is for our Yellowstone 2010 vacation album. I really need to get moving on that album and get it finished before Vacation 2011 is here.

I did a little bit of stitching on this band layout for Tucker's school album.
And speaking of band...Thursday night was the Spring Band Concert, and Tucker had a sax solo. He played Chatanooga Choo-Choo and he rocked it!! So proud of that kid!

{Wednesday}

Here's another layout for Gracie's album. I already made a layout for our family album, but decided to make a special one just for her since it was her first elephant ride.
I cut the flowers from K and Co. paper, and put them on pop-dots for more dimension.
Hope you're having a great day!

{Layout and Giveaway WInner!}

I just want to say thanks to all of you that hopped by my blog this weekend for the Scrapbook Daisies blog hop. Thanks too for all your sweet comments and emails :)

First, I did a little scrapping yesterday.
This girl loves her sidewalk chalk!!!
 I machine stitched through the punched circles, and then added a pop-dot (cut in half) behind the second layer of circles so it will still have the 3D look once it's in her scrapbook.

And now, for the giveaway...
comment # 19, Teresa Jaye you are the lucky winner!!
Please email me your address and I'll send a little  package I put together of some of the new Stella and Rose from My Minds Eye. Thanks again to everyone for playing along, I hope you all found some inspiration from the all the girls on the blog hop.
Oh, and one last thing...I had so many emails asking what I did to stitch through the chipboard letters on the "So Very Sweet" layout.

Quite honestly, I just sewed. I didn't change any settings on my sewing machine at all. Just left it like I was going to be sewing fabric.  I do slow down just a bit as I go through each letter, but that's it. Sorry, no big hints on that one.
Happy Monday!

{Scrapbook Daisies Blog Hop!}

Hi and welcome to the next stop on the Scrapbook Daisies Blog Hop!! If you have arrived here first, be sure to start at the beginning at the Scrapbook Daisies Home blog and do the hop in order...you will be glad you did!

Scrapbook Daisies has awesome monthly kits, and even though I am on the Design Team for the store, I got to play with the Hello Sunshine kit too!

Here are all the fun things I made, and remember you can click on each photo for a larger view.

My Mom and her sister in 1937.

(I added tiny alphas and Jenni Bowlin stickers)

My oldest, Andrew and my youngest, Gracie. So sweet! I did some  machine stitching and a bit of painting on this one.

(I added alphas, newsprint leaves and an October Afternoon diecut)

My 4 kids...Love this pic of them! I did a little machine stitchng on this one too.

I used Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies on this layout of me and my youngest son Tucker, who I have called Buddy from day one.
(I added the black alpha Thickers)

There's nothing like a 1 year old enjoying a rainy day, of course I had to take pictures of her holding my huge umbrella.

So there are the layouts I made with the kit. I had so much fun working with all these goodies from American Crafts.

 Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I hope you will return again! I'm doing a little giveaway of my own, just leave a comment here on my blog, and I will draw a winner Monday morning for a cute package of some of the new Stella and Rose by My Minds Eye.

{happy}

Just a few things that I'm happy about this week...
1. this fun layout I made early (like before dawn early) this morning.
2. I picked up my first Design Team kit last night at my LSS (Local Scrapbook Store for my non-scrappy friends) Scrapbook Daisies. I'm on the store Design Team now, and LOVE that every month I'll receive a kit full of new products to play with and make samples and projects for the store.  Just look at all the fun stuff:
3. and...speaking of Scrapbook Daisies, this was in the local newspaper about their Grand Opening. It's a really nice article about the store!

So today is only Wednesday, and it's been a pretty darn good week!!
