{Paper & Glue}

Here's a layout I made for Scrapbook Daisies using the new Lost & Found 3 collection from My Minds Eye. Of course I forgot to take a pic of the layout at home, so here it is at the store ;)

Well, the weekend is almost here, do enjoy!

{again!}

**I've had so many emails the last few weeks about a project I made last December, here it is again for all of you wanting to see the photos**

I had a picture taken with Santa every year 'till I was 15. Seriously. My parents never insisted, but it was one of those things that being an only child you just do because you know how happy it makes your Mom ;) I only included up to age 10 for the frame because adding 5 more years would have made it huge. lol   I printed all the photos in black & white since every year I wore red or white, except for age 8 where for some crazy reason (Donny Osmond was popular) I wore purple.
Here are some close up pics:

Thanks for the sweet emails asking about my Santa & me frame, I appreciate all your wonderful comments!  Yes, I do already have this hanging this year, and no, I didn't store this away with our other Christmas decor. I ended up adding family pictures to it, along with a burlap bow and other embellishments, so it's been hanging since January of this year ;)  I just removed all the Santa photos and other embellishments and those were all packed away in the attic with our Christmas decor.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

{Christmas 1951}

I'm still working my way through the old family photos, I came across this one and knew I had to scrap it ;)  It's the actual photo Christmas card that my Dad in-law's family sent out in 1951.
You all know I love the old black & whites, but this one is extra special for sure!

I used the November add-on kit from the Paper Bakery, and thought the vintage looking Santa and ornament papers worked perfectly!  My favorites...the little bits of confetti and the October Afternoon washi tape with the date written on it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

and so it begins...

"Buddy" our new Elf on the Shelf is here! This is where we found him this morning.  Maybe he called Santa to let him know he had arrived safely?  ;)

Have a wonderful day!

{Sketch Challenge}

I've got a card up on the Love My Tapes blog today, using the sketch from the November Sketch Challenge

I really struggle with making cards, so using a sketch can really help!  Notice on this one I still kept it a square size, just 6x6 instead of 12x12 ;)

I followed the basic design, adding the washi tape to the top left and bottom right corners. I used the diagonal stripe paper instead of the paper strips, and replaced the arrows with some machine sewing. I love how my card turned out, and have an envelope all ready to send it off in today's mail!!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

{Is it Christmas Yet?}

I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, I really am, but I'm looking forward to the next holiday too ;)  I even scrapped another Christmas layout!
I used the November add-on kit from the Paper Bakery for this one, it worked perfectly with this photo of Gracie in her Christmas jammies. Dont you just love the cute Crate Paper reindeer paper!
As always, thanks for stopping by.

{She's 4}

Our girl turned 4 this week.
Of course I had to take another yearly photo of her in great-great grandma's chair.

4th birthday's are quite the celebration, especially if you've spent a bit too much time watching the home and garden channel with Mommy ;)  She only had 1 request for a present, a pink scooter, but had a list a mile long for the birthday celebration itself. A pink cake didn't surprise me, but the request for "a pretty plate for the cake to sit on" ya, that one made me laugh!

I love you Gracie girl, you make every day an adventure!

{Joys of the Season}

We are officially half way through November, and December is right around the corner. I'm counting the days until we can decorate the tree and hang the Christmas lights. I've even pulled out a few Christmas photos and have been playing with paper and glue ;)

This was made with the November add-on kit from the Paper Bakery. I love the bright cheery papers, and the cute Studio Calico polaroid photo frame.
Perfect to use with these pics of my Dad-in-law from Christmas morning, 1950.

I still have a week to go before the boxes come down from the attic, but by this time next Friday, Christmas will have arrived at our house and I can't wait!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

{Love You More}

Hi Friends! I have a layout to share today that's up on the Imaginisce blog using the brand new "Love You More" collection.
I love the papers in "Love You More" and especially love that there is washi tape included in the collection!!
This will be perfect for Valentines day layouts, but as you can see, I used it for a vacation photo of Gracie walking along the pier.

Here's a card too, and the fab washi tape!

As always, thanks for stopping by.

{Hello Winter!}

I've got two projects to share today...woo-hoo! First up, this layout that's up on the GCD Studios blog.

For this layout, I used a die cutting machine to cut out the title, added a coordinating patterned paper to back it, then built the rest of my layout.

The fun part of this assignment...I was to make a Christmas layout without using red or green, but with a beautiful photo of a real white Christmas, it was easy!

Next up, this Christmas card that's on the Love My Tapes blog today!
I pulled papers from my stash for this one (I love being able to do that!) and added in one of my favorite red washi tapes, a little twine and the cute jingle bell.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, oh and be sure to enter the drawing I have here to win some Imaginisce goodies...I'll be picking a winner Monday evening.

{In Honor of our Veterans & a Giveaway!}

Welcome and thanks for joining in on the Imaginisce Veteran's Day blog hop!
The Imaginisce DT has projects to share this week in honor of our Veterans, and the service they have given to our country.  I am especially grateful since my Dad was a member of the US Navy. Here is my layout in honor of him...

I included my Mom's dependent card she carried in her wallet to show she was a military wife. Notice the 1949 date!
How about a giveaway of some awesome Imaginisce goodies???  Just leave a comment and I'll put your name in the drawing. Become a follower of my blog (or let me know that you already are) and I'll add your name in twice!!!  I'll announce the winner Monday evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by, now hop on over to Shellye's blog!

{a layout to share}

I'm back again with another layout made with the October kit from the Paper Bakery!
This is one of those layouts that has a long story that goes with it, so all the journaling ends up on the back. I like doing that though, it leaves more room on the front for fun stuff ;)

Thanks for stopping by,
