Scrapping the Holidays

I have a new layout up over on the Paper Issues blog today! You all know I love old photos, and especially love scrapping old photos, so here's one of me on Christmas morning, 1970.

These are the only pics I have from Christmas that year, and wanted them to be the focus of my layout. I layered three different patterned papers on top of my cardstock, ending with the "Christmas Assortment" piece, that reminded me of of packaging from the '70's.

I topped off the tree with a gold Pop Drop star enamel sticker, and finished the layout with a bit of machine stitching, the cute delivery sticker, and Thickers for the date.

Be sure to stop by the Paper Issues store and check out the holiday papers and embellishments, and while you're there, use code: Mary Ann for 20% off your order!!

Morro Bay - Paper Issues Swag Bag

It's Swag Bag Sunday over on the Paper Issues blog, and of course I had to play along ;)  I love getting the swag bags each month, they're filled with lots of fun little bits and pieces!   For this layout I mixed and matched pieces from several months bags, and only added the background paper and the gold title.

I had 5 photos of my daughter that I wanted to include on the layout, all were taken at the same beach over the last 5 years, notice how pink has been her favorite color since she was 2 ;)  I made a large collage using all 5 photos, then added it next to the layers of tags, clips, papers, flags and that cute anchor paper pop.

Be sure to check out the Paper Issues blog for more Swag Bag inspiration. And...check out the PI store, and use code: Mary Ann for 20% off your order!!

Merry Christmas My Dear | Paper Issues

It's time for another Product Spotlight on the Paper Issues Blog!  Today's spotlight is on the super cute "Wish Season" collection by Fancy Pants. It's the perfect mix of  Christmas colors with a bit of blue and pink and some wood grain added in too!

Aren't those the cutest little trees!! I layered the die cut trees along with a tree puffy sticker on top of this Silhouette tree cut file. Next I added that sweet little deer with the red nose. As I was putting this together, I realized I didn't have anything red for his nose, so I colored an enamel dot with a red sharpie for the perfect red nose!

As always thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to use code Mary Ann in the Paper Issues store for 20% off your order!!

Buddy, Our Elf on the Shelf

Buddy the Elf came to visit again this year, that silly little guy! Here he is on his first day, trying to hide in the Christmas tree. So much for being an Elf on the Shelf ;)

I used the super cute "Under the Tree" collection by October Afternoon, this Silhouette cut file for the bow, and the December sketch from Paper Issues.

Christmas Lights - Paper Issues: {P}inspire Me Monday

The newest {P}inspire Me Monday is up over at Paper Issues, and as soon as I saw the colors, I had to play along!  I went with the red, black and white, and pulled the teal color in too by using paper and embellishments that had light blue and green.

I used foam tape on the candy canes and Mr. Snowman for a bit of dimension. I like to have things pop of the page ;)

Come play along too, you could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!

Our Christmas Tree and FREE Cut Files!

I played along with the Scraplift Sunday challenge over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} facebook group using the fab "Wish Season" collection by Fancy Pants, and one of the 5 FREE December banner cut files that are available on the Paper Issues blog today!

Here's Michelle's inspiration layout...

And here's the cute cut files...

I love scraplift challenges, you can copy the layout exactly or take just a small piece to use as your inspiration. I followed the layout pretty closely, with a single photo, the banner, the scattering of confetti (I used sequins, puffy stickers and a few trees that I cut from the banner) and the cluster of papers and embellishments under the photo.

Isn't that little tree banner the cutest!! Be sure to check out the Paper Issues blog today for the FREE cut files, and play along for your chance to win a $10 gift card to the Paper Issues store!
