Here's my layout, using the color red, the color blue, patterned paper, a black and white photo, and sequins, all from the Take 5 Challenge inspiration and idea list.
I used pieces from the new America the Beautiful collection by Pebbles, and the new Sunny Days collection by Elle's Studio. America the Beautiful is wonderful patriotic collection, but works so well for regular everyday photos too! The red gingham check reminded me of a outdoor barbeque, add in a watermelon and it's perfect for this photo of my mom from the 1950's, helping with the barbeque in my grandparents back yard.
This was a quick and easy layout to put together, that started by cutting the largest floral square, then using my paper trimmer to cut out a smaller square from the center. I added both squares to the red gingham paper, did a little machine stitching around the edges, then layered on my embellishments, photo, title and a few sequins. Another layout completed for the family history album!
So how about playing along with the Take 5 Challenge too?? I'd love to see how creative you can be!
