Printables - Paper Issues

Hi guys! Today I have a new layout to share using one of this months free printables from Paper Issues. The cute little camera was printed on white cardstock, then cut out by hand. It was so quick and so simple to do, and I think it looks great with these papers and embellishments from the Happy Place collection by Fancy Pants!!

January Java Journal - Paper Issues Day 12

Have you seen the January Java Journals happening over in the Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group??  Each day there are 2 prompts to choose from (or you can always use your own!) and it's all about taking just a little bit of time each day to record a memory, a thought, an idea etc. It can be a simple scribbled list or add a bit more detail with a photo and a few embellishments. Some of the ladies are using Dear Lizzy's journal, some are using their own, it's totally up to you! At the end of January you will have an amazing journal to keep and remember. There's still time if you want to jump in and play along!
Today's PI prompt is "I can’t imagine life without…",  and the prompt from the journal is "Memories of School Years", and is what I chose to use for Day 12.

Most days are pretty simple, but I'm trying to add a photo my journaling at least one day a week.
Stop by the Paper Issues {friend & fans} facebook group for more inspiration and to upload your journaling!

So Much Fun - Sketch Challenge

There's a new Sketch Challenge up over at Paper Issues, and I decided to play along too!
Here's the sketch...

And here's my layout:

I followed the idea of the various rectangles and squares as the base for my photos, but instead of the diagonal line across the layout, I used banners that I fussy cut from the patterned paper.

Once the banner was in place, I layered the die cuts, a flair button and that fun little arrow to complete my page! So how about playing along too? You could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!

Take 5 Tuesday with Paper Issues

There's a new challenge for 2016 that I'll be hosting the first Tuesday of the month over at Paper Issues, and I'm so excited to share it with you today!!  The challenge is open to everyone, and is for scrapbookers, card makers, pocket pagers, and even off the page project makers too. If you are a paper crafter, this challenge is for you! Here’s how it works, each month there will be a list of items to use as inspiration and starting point for your project. From that list, you pick 5 items to use on your project. You can combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list. You could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!

Here is this months inspiration list:
1.   the color blue
2.   the color green
3.   the color orange
4.   a snowman or snowflake
5.   die cut
6.   mist or paint
7.   alpha stickers
8.   flair badge or button
9.   a tree
10. a circle
11. sequins
12. title
13. cardstock
14. hand written journaling
15. twine or string (this can be hand stitching, machine stitching, or just as an embellishment)

And here's my layout, using the color blue, a snowflake, die cut, flair badge and circles.

I started my layout with the snowflake, one of this month's FREE cut files, and then layered bits and pieces of papers, washi tape, die cuts and those cute flair badges. I love this little cluster of goodness!

So how about playing along, you could win one of 2 gift cards to the Paper Issues store!!  Head on over to the Paper Issues blog for more Take 5 Tuesday inspiration from some of the Design Team, and check out what 5 things they all used!
