Scrap Soup - November!

The November Scrap Soup Challenge is up over at Paper Issues!
As soon as I saw this web cut file, (that is available for FREE here in the Paper Issues store!) I knew I would be using for a Spiderman layout! Yes, I'm sure I'll be using it for a Halloween page too, but it was perfect for my Spiderman loving boy. Oh how I remember those days when he was 3 and was so excited to wear that little shirt!

This layout came together so quick and easy too. I splattered some mist on my cardstock, and while that was drying, cut out the web. Then I layered on the photo and some bits and pieces from my stash.

Have you played along with the Scrap Soup challenge?? Just follow along with the “recipe”. You can make the recipe your own by adding more "ingredients", but you must use everything listed in the original recipe. Here is this month recipe:

Upload your project here in the Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group, and you could win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

The new Take 5 Tuesday challenge is up over on the Paper Issues blog!  Here is this month's idea list:

And here's my layout, using the Carousel collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper along with the color yellow, patterned paper, cardstock, title and these sweet little drawings as memorabilia.

My daughter is always drawing little pictures for me and what better way to preserve them than adding them to a layout!

Hop on over to the Paper Issues blog for even more Take 5 Tuesday inspiration! We'd love for you to play along with the challenge too, you could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!

Home Sweet Home- Paper Issues!

The November Issues is up over on the Paper Issues blog!  This month's theme is Home Is Where the Heart Is, and some of the suggested ideas are to create a project about your home (favorite room, neighborhood, home renovations etc.) family gatherings or Thanksgiving traditions and recipes.
I went with the home theme, and used this recent photo of our front porch decorated with white pumpkins for fall and the Welcome Home collection by Carta Bella.

I *loved* this collection from the moment I saw it! It's not very often that my love for home decor and scrapbooking come together. How could I pass it up when there are things like farmhouse, barn doors and shiplap on papers and stickers!

I think I bought two of almost everything, and will be using as I continue to document all the fun (ok, not always fun) things we are working on here at home, most recently it's been the task of painting our kitchen. There will be layout coming soon all about that!

Head on over to the PI blog for even more inspiration from some of the team.
And, as always, thanks for stopping by!
