CHA Recap part I

Today was the last day of the show, and overall, I would say it was one of the best I've been to in the past 5 or so years product wise. There were so many fun things we saw! With the down economy, I was wondering how busy the show would be, not only with store owners, but manufacturers as well. As I walked out of the show this afternoon, I actually felt very positive. It was such a nice feeling to see manufacturers excited about their new products, and just as exciting to see store owners busy buying the new products. Now if I could just have some of these fun things in my hot little hands by tomorrow, all would be good :)
Here's some of the fave paper lines I spotted:

**remember to click on the picture for a close-up view!
Fern by ADORNit
I love the cute little owls!!! and look at the matching buttons!

Kraft by Fancy Pants...since Kraft is one of my fave colors of cardstock, yep, I loved this one!

Madeline by K & Co...love the vintage florals and butterflys!

My Little Shoebox...so fun!

And don't you love these darling hedgehogs on this paper by imaginisce!

These were just a few of my favorites...I can't wait to show you some of the neat Home Decor ideas I found!

CHA again!

Today is the last day of CHA, and I promise I'll post some pics tonight of all my favorite finds. We have been having such a great time running from booth to booth placing order after order! My head is spinning with ideas for projects I want to teach, and make for myself! Home Decor is a big thing at the show this year, so lots of fun ideas for that.
Have a great day, and I'll be back tonight to share some of our fun finds!

CHA Bound

I'm off to the CHA (California Hobby Association) Trade Show today at the Anaheim Convention Center. I love going to this every year to see what's new in the Scrapbooking world. I'll let you all know tonight what fun things I find!

The bathrooms are clean, I have bread in the oven and Gracie is still taking a nap, so I have a few minutes to post the layout I made last night. I love the silly grin she has on her face!
(oh and before you think I'm sounding all "Martha", the bread is from a box mix. But hey, I really did clean both bathrooms!)

Got to do a little scrapbooking this morning.
Here's a fun layout about Jessie's Bday.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

2 months

Here's a picture of Gracie from yesterday afternoon.
I can't believe she is 2 months old already!

I picked up my Project 365 kit on Sunday (thanks again Tran for getting one for me!) and have it all caught up.
I love that even if I don't have time to scrapbook everyday, I can always find 2 or 3 minutes to take a picture, and write something about our day.

Here's last week, and what moment in time I captured:
Gracie wearing her bracelet for the first time
What I cooked for dinner one night
A picture of Tucker that shows his sweet smile
A day of scrapbooking
Dinner out with friends for her birthday
Our favorite place to go on Saturday mornings
The beautiful full moon we had on Sunday night

It's so fun to look back on a week, so I'm really looking forward to looking back on December 31, and remembering what we did all year.

I've been doing a little scrapbooking this morning,
here's what I came up with.

I love this Sassafrass Lass paper!

I'm still taking pictures everyday for Project 365.
Here is today's...

Tomato Alfredo sauce for the spaghetti
I made for dinner. Yummy!
I'm loving taking the pictures, or keeping a momento from each day.

Today is day 3 of Project 365, and here is my photo of the day.

Yep, a bottle of Aleve.
This would be to help with the cold I ended up with while we were out of town.
I'm still taking my photos everyday though.
I actually ended up NOT getting the Project 365 kit due to the ordering fiasco on the Creating Keepsakes website. Not too happy about that, but was happy to come home to an email from a friend/customer at the store that ordered one for me because she was sure I wouldn't be able to get one since I would be using dial-up at my in-laws. Wasn't that sweet of her!! Thanks Tran, you totally made my day!!
So, I am doing project 365.
I know a lot of people missed out on the kit and are doing their own thing.
I just think it's cool that so many people are doing this, whether making their own, or with the kit.
...We had a great time up North though.
We spent a lot of time sitting by the fire.
Roasted hot dogs in the fire for lunch.

Spent time catching up on family history.
Played a fun game called "Buzz Word" for hours at a time.
Went for walks in the freezing cold.

Rang in the New Year.
Scrapbooked a tiny bit.
Fed the horses

and took tons of pictures.
I hope you enjoyed your 2008 coming to an end, and are looking forward to what 2009 has to bring.
