October Can't Get Here Soon Enough!!!

We just got tickets this morning to see this.
Can I just say how excited Tucker is.
October can't get here soon enough!

For an 8 year old boy whos whole life revolves around Star Wars, this is the ultimate.
Come to think of it, I'm kinda excited to go too.
Just think of the photos I can take : )

{A Day at the Flea}

Went with some friends to the Flea Market this weekend.
Oh how I love the Flea!
I found a really fun picture of some crazy flowers, that I promptly removed the picture from, and is now going to become a chalkboard. The frame the picture was in will be perfect for it. I'll post pics as soon as my little project is finished.
Yvette found a cool 'ol cabinet to hang in her scrapbook room. She is going to store her rubber stamps in it.
We had such a fun time looking at the old and vintage wares. We all used to work together, and don't get to see each other very often, so it was fun to spend the day together. After a day of shopping we went to lunch, then to our new favorite place for dessert. They have the best cream puffs ever!

Wow, where did the time go?
Summer is almost over, and I feel like there are still so many things I want to do.
We visited the Discovery Science Center this week, and had a great time. Tucker's favorite part...The Bed of Nails.
Gracie turned 9 months on Thursday, and stood up in her crib for the first time.
I'm loving seeing her personality develop each day.
She wants to play with her "ba-ba's" (babies) all day long
loves watching her "bubba" (brother)
and tells us "mo" (more) when she wants a snack.
I've been getting in a little scrapbooking here and there, and have an exciting "Guest Designer" project I'm working on. Both the big boys are busy working at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Austin was excited to find out he was "Employee of the Month" in his department for June. School starts for them on Monday : (
We still have 3 weeks before Tucker starts school, so we are still planning on going
here, here and here
Seriously where did the time go?

After hearing from so many of you that I needed to visit HomeGoods, I finally made a trip there last night.
Can I just tell you I loved it!
I found the prettiest green glass votive candle holder.
So pretty that I bought three : )
The best part...
here's what I paid for them.
I also found a really cute frame for a special photo. It's of me and my buds from the scrapbook store where I used to work. The store closed last week, so we all met up there to get one last photo of all of us together.
It's been 10 months since I worked there.
Some days it seems like last week,
some days it seems like an eternity ago.
Anyway, loved HomeGoods. If you've never been there, you gotta go check it out!

{5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake}

Here's a yummy recipe I know you will love!
You are five minutes away from this:
5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

4 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of oil
3 tablespoons of chocolate chips (optional)
A splash of vanilla extract
A coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract and mix again.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
Don't worry if the cake rises over the top of the mug!

You can eat it as is, or you can wait for it to cool, slice in half, top with some whipped cream or ice cream and voila!, a perfect 5 minute treat, and that means more time for scrapbooking!
