CHA Sneak Peeks Part 2

So yesterday I mentioned that CHA starts this weekend, and I just can't wait to be there to see everything in person. Here's more of what will surely be the hot for 2011.
Pink Paislee is releasing 4 collections, first up is Hometown Summer. I love the bright cheery colors, and how perfect for pics from long ago or just last summer! Darling papers, and the little characters are so cute!!

Next from Pink Pailsee is Butterfly Garden. The vintage feel to this is collection is amazing.  Soft pastels with butterflies, florals and even a few birdcages!
Check out these wood shapes that can be misted, inked or painted. So cool!

How about these Ephemera Bits. WOW!

Also new is Soiree. Oh the girly girl layouts of Gracie I can do with this!

And last is Daily Junque. This Flea Market loving girl loves this of course!

Another fave is Cosmo Cricket. I already know I won't be able to resist Upcycle.  Just look at these patterned papers!!

And then there's the Butterflies and Doilies. Ummm I need at least 3 packs of these!

I'm loving the Jubille collection from Scribble Scrabble too! Not quite a huge well known company yet, but soon to be I'm sure. Look at these shabby colors. Beautiful! I can just see the layouts using some old black and white pics of my grandparents with these colors.

Another line I always look forward to is ADORNit. Can you believe this year they are releasing 60 NEW Double Sided Patterned Papers??  Oh My Heck, that is unheard of!! Here's a few layout samples from their blog.
I especially love that ADORNit has Grandparents paper in this release. And that last layout is from their Long Live Vintage collection.  Yep, I need that for sure!!
Punches are on my list of must haves (of course!) and I can't wait to see these "Lucky 8" punches from We R Memory Keepers. 8 simple punches transforms your 12x12 patterned paper into die cut fabulousness!  How awesome will that be!!!

So that's just a few things that I'm looking forward to. There is still so much more, probably enough for 10 more blog posts!!! I promise I'll take pics at the show, and will share those with you too ; )  Happy Friday!

CHA here I come!

Can you believe CHA is this weekend?? I've seen so many Sneak Peeks from some of my fave manufacturers that I'm literally counting the hours 'till I'm walking the show floor!  Here's a few sneaks that I can't wait to see in person:
Crate Paper - Emma's Shoppe

The colors, the vintage feel, oh my! Love this! Those chipboard pieces caught my eye for sure! Crate also has The Portrait Collection.  It's a wedding line, but could be used for so many things besides wedding.

Of course those chipboard pieces caught my eye too ; )

Webster's Pages has 4 new releases, I'm loving Country Estate the best!
Look at these Fabric Tickets and Fabric Ribbon!!  Could it get any better??

These are only a few of my faves, I'll be back tomorrow with a few more!

{Monday, Monday}

I'm going to a gathering with some fellow scrapbookers tonight. I made these fun little gems to give to each of them.

It's just a pack of microwave popcorn wrapped with some patterned paper. Of course I had to add the doily and glitter butterfly for fun. I'm thinking I'll be making more of these, I love how they turned out ; )

January 22, 2011

I started this layout at a crop a few months ago, and completely forgot about it 'till today. I finished stitching the buttons, and added everything else all while blowing my nose every 3 minutes. Just for the record, I hate having a cold.

At least the cold kept me home today so I did get to finish this. Although the kids would have probably rather have been at the park, which is where we had planned on going. There's always tomorrow! ; )

January 17, 2011

While watching the Rose Parade a few weeks ago I was reminiscing about how as a kid we would watch the parade on TV, but then even more exciting, was going the next day on January 2 to see the floats in the parking lot of Bullocks Department Store.

Of course I then had to go look through 8 boxes of old photos because I knew I had seen a picture of me standing by the city of Lakewood float. As it turns out, it is the only photo. I'm so glad I have that little 3x3 picture to go with the memories!

Here's a fun layout I did for one of the Monthly Challenges going on over at Scrapbook Daisies.

Well, actually it's kind of for two of the monthly challenges : )
For the January Sketch Challenge, you are to use a sketch from My Sketch World. For this one, I just turned it on it's side.
I've just recently tried using sketches, and I must say it's nice once in a while to jump start your creativity.

There's also a "Book of Me...Girl Behind the Camera" challenge that will be going on all year.  This has no due dates, so jump in and play anytime! For January it's creating a layout with a photograph of yourself along with 20 random facts about you.  This was an easy one to do, since yep, there are some random facts for sure ; )
like the fact that
I don't like yellow flowers in my garden
or that I could watch The Walton's 24/7
or that I love my cowboy boots (all 8 pair)
and the best fact of all, that I am so very blessed.

{One Little Word}

As a big Ali Edwards fan, I've chosen my
One Little Word for 2011, moment.
I want to take time to live in the moment. The big moments, the small moments, the special moments, the everyday moments. Each moment with my husband, kids, family and friends.

I'm working on a layout right now that I'm going to hang in our family room as a reminder for the whole family to really enjoy the moment. Something we all need to remember sometimes.

Check out Ali's blog here to see some of the words that other scrapbooker's have chosen. What word will you use to choose to live and believe in?

{Santa Baby}

My favorite pic of Gracie from Christmas day.
She loves this doll that was waiting under the Christmas tree for her, and is now known as "Santa Baby". Santa Baby goes everywhere with us ; )

Lots of fun things all collaged together on this one. I love the red, green and a little pink thrown in!

It's not noon yet, and we've already had two tea parties today.
I think the Queen of England would even be jealous.
