Here's another layout I made for Scrapbook Daisies, using more of the papers from My Little Shoebox. It's also one more complete layout for our vacation album. Yahoo!

The sweet felt flowers and alpha letters are both by American Crafts...love those flowers!
I'm still working on 1 more layout from my Design Team kit, I'll have it to share tomorrow :)

{Scrapbook Daisies SCRAPLIFT Blog Hop and a Giveaway!!!}

Welcome to the next stop on the Scrapbook Daisies April Scraplift blog hop :)

(If you arrived here first, be sure to go back and start at the beginning of the hop on the Scrapbook Daisies Blog so you don't miss out on any of the fun!) Also, be sure to leave a comment here on my blog for a fun scrappy giveaway. I'll draw a name Monday morning.

This month, Martha gave me a great kit to make samples for the Scrapbook Daisies store. I was so excited to play with all the fun products from My Little Shoebox, and even more excited to get to "scraplift" Design Team member Tanya. Here's my layout... remember to click on each photo for a larger view
And here's Tanya's layout that I scraplifted. I followed her lead, and used 2 overlapping photos, and page title on the right. My tree branch was in place of her clouds, and my grove of trees on the bottom was in place of her flowers. Thanks so much Tanya for such a great layout to scraplift!!!
Here's another layout for the store about the tons of photos I took on our vacation to Yellowstone last summer. Yes, you read that right, I took 4,395 photos!!!
Notice the piece of vintage (lol) film on this one.
The cute little camera and journaling spots are by October Afternoon, another purchase from the Scrapbook Daisies store ; )

I love that this month is a scraplift challenge, and now YOU can play along and scraplift someone too!!  Here's all the important info:
* Choose one of the Scrapbook Daisies design team members that participated in this hop and lift one of her projects. It can be any of her projects that you find on her blog or in her Scrapbook Daisies gallery.
* Upload your completed lift to the Scrapbook Daisies Facebook page and include a pic or link to the person or project that you lifted (if you do not use Facebook, you can link your lift to the blog hop post on the Scrapbook Daisies blog.
* Deadline is Sunday, April 24th at midnight your time.
Your next stop on the hop is Tanya.
Happy Hopping, and don't forget to leave a comment for the giveaway!
Also, here's the list of all the blogs, just in case you get lost on the hop.

{in the kitchen}

I had some old silver spoons that once belonged to my Grandma and Great Grandma. Add those to one of my Mom's silver spoons, along with a frame and some paper from My Minds Eye and you get some really cool kitchen decor.
I love how this turned out, and can't wait to hang it right next to our kitchen table. Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most.

April 11, 2011

I did a little scrapbooking over the weekend. I'm still working on pics of our vacation from last summer (I call it the never ending stack of photos), here's one to add to that album.
The cute little owl, tree, lantern, journaling stickers and paper are all from the new October Afternoon camping line. I found the smores paper at a super cute scrapbook store in Missoula Montana. I started a fun kitchen decor project today. It's drying as we speak, so I'll have it to share with you tomorrow!

April 5, 2011

Here's a layout for Gracie's album about her love of being outside, in her "fancy clothes" as she says. Which in her opinion, makes it all the better.
I've got a random mix on this one: papers- My Minds Eye & Making Memories, alphas & numbers - Jenni Bowlin & American Crafts, journaling spot - Colorbok, banners - Jenni Bowlin, die cuts - My Minds Eye & Colorbok, bird - Prima, ribbon, rhinestones.
Have a great day!

{Happy Friday Night}

So the colors are a bit off on this one (why do I wait until after sunset to remember to take photos??)
That's my hubby's Grandma in the picture, and from all the stories I've heard, I would have loved her. Notice what she's holding? Those are all photo albums. And the best part...along with all the photos, newspaper clippings, receipts and everything else she kept in them, she also wrote the names, the dates and the stories to go with all of it. I love that Grandma was a scrapbooker, but didn't even realize it back then. Last year my Father-in-law gave me all those albums. Talk about priceless.
One of my favorite things, written next to some of the photos, "I have no idea why I took this darn picture, or who the heck these people are." Seriously, I would have loved her.
