{Sharing & a Winner!}

It's official, I finally have a copy of this in my hands...
Wahoo! I've had layouts published in magazines, but this is the first time to have my work published in a book. I was so excited as I looked through to see my layouts, and was especially surprised to see a sketch that was made from my Tia Lucha layout! How cool is that!!!

Sketch Made From My Layout

and my Vacation Pizza has it's own "Inspired Idea".

Getting to look through this book made it a little easier to come home from vacation ; )
And, now for the giveaway...
I put all the names in a bowl, and had Gracie draw a name. (which took forever since as soon as she drew a name, she wanted to keep the tiny piece of paper like she had won a prize and was none too happy to hand it over to mama!! lol lol)
Beth Hallgren you're the lucky winner!!
I'll be sending you a package of Little Yellow Bicycle's Sweet Summertime collection.
Happy Sunday Y'all

{Friday, our first official day of Summer!}

Here's another layout I did for Scrapbook Daisies using papers from the My Minds Eye "Hip-Hooray" collection.
(paper, journaling card and twine - My Minds Eye, alpha letters - American Crafts)
This is my Dad's 6th grade class back in 1938.
So cool that I have this photo!
I did a little bit of hand stitching on this, using the patterned paper as my inspiration for the diamond shape. "Hip-Hooray" is a collection of birthday papers, but it worked great for a school layout.

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow, I'll be doing a giveaway to celebrate our first official week of Summer Vacation!

{Auntie Jessa}

This month, my Design Team kit for Scrapbook Daisies had the super cute "Hip-Hooray" collection from My Minds Eye. Don't you just love the red and turquoise together!

(papers and twine - My Minds Eye, doilies - Martha Stewart, alpha letters- American Crafts & My Little Shoebox, pearls - Want 2 Scrap)
This is actually their "boy" collection, but as you can see, it works for sweet baby girls and their Aunties too! I'll be taking this layout over to the store this week, so be sure to look for it while you are there ;)
Happy Tuesday!

{make & take}

I used the Little Boy collection from Echo Park to make these cute cards for a Make & Take I'll be doing tomorrow at Scrapbook Daisies.
A perfect card for Father's Day, Dad's birthday or graduation! I love the tie and buttons :)
Happy Friday, and enjoy your weekend!

I took some sweet pics of Gracie at the zoo last weekend. Those pics found themselves on a layout this weekend ;)

I love the colors on this one, so bright and cheery!
I hope you had a great weekend, and found a little crafting time too.
Thanks for stopping by!

{Proud Momma Post}

Today was the last performance of the year for Tucker's elementary school band. Little did we know 7 months ago when he first started learning how to play the sax it would lead to this...
He received the award for
"Outstanding Musician"
for the whole band!!

Next up, he's been asked to be part of the Cerritos College band for the summer. He went to his first rehearsal last night and had a great time. He thought it was cool to be sitting in between two people that have been playing saxophone three times as long as he's been alive. lol

I can't wait to see where his talent takes him.
We couldn't be any prouder!
