The first official week of summer is in full swing! There has been late-night-popcorn-movies, 2 trips to the park, several visits to the archery range, sleeping late, a new restaurant that we loved, oh and a scorpion sting. Yes, a scorpion. When Grandpa & Grandma left last week, Tucker went back home with them for a few days. Let's just say for a city boy, being stung by a scorpion was quite memorable ;)
I've even had a little time for scrapbooking.
I used the June kit from the Paper Bakery that included this fun Heidi Swapp color resist paper. With a few sprays of my favorite colors of Heidi's color shine mists, I had my own custom paper!
I used my Silhouette to cut the title and the circle background that reminded me of bubbles in the tanks at the aquarium ;)  Oh and I cut that cute little star geotag too. (the geotag is one of this months free cut files!!)

Thanks for stopping by today!

{I'm Baaaaaack!}

Well, I guess I never really left ;) My mom & dad in-law were visiting from out of town this past week, and while we were busy having fun the 'ol blog was a bit neglected. I'm back though, and have a new layout to share!!
I used the June scrapbook kit from the Paper Bakery along with a title I cut using my Silhouette. The red, yellow & green papers reminded me of a stoplight, and was perfect for these pics of Tucker driving a car at Legoland for the first time.
This week starts our first full week of summer vacation, and I am really looking forward to it!! The camera battery is charged, and the alarm clock is officially unplugged. Let the fun begin!!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Here's another layout for the Yellowstone/Montana/2010 Vacation scrapbook. I've been working on the album here and there for the past 3 years, and I can finally say it's about three-quarters of the way finished. Yeah! I probably could have had the whole album done within 3 months, but when you love scrapping old family photos along with photos you took last week, sometimes it takes a bit longer to finish an album ;)
I used pieces of the new Nature Walk collection from Pretty Little Studio for the sunburst design and added some sequins for the outside rays. Perfect colors for the photos!
Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate the visit.

{Crafty Chicks Blog Hop!}

Welcome to Crafty Chick’s first Blog Hop!
We’re a team of amazing designers, and we’ve all come together to showcase our creations and inspire you along the way!  If you arrived from Jessica's blog  you're on the right track. If not, hop on back to Elizabeth's blog to start at the beginning. This month's theme is weddings, and being the black & white photo lover that I am, here's a layout with the first official photo taken of my mom & dad in the park, a few hours after their ceremony.
I've had this layout on display at Scrapbook Daisies  (my LSS) and it's always fun to hear the comments about the old black & white photos. A different era gone by for sure.

Every month we’ll have a different theme for our Crafty Chicks blog hops, and offer a prize to one lucky winner, so be sure to leave a comment on each blog. This month is a Pink Paislee Daily Junque Mini Album!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and being part of our first monthly hop!  Now on to Linda's blog for more inspiration.

Here's a fun little project I made for the 2nd anniversary celebration going on over at the Paper Bakery blog.
Wouldn’t these mini 3-D cupcakes be oh.so.cute at each place setting for your next party!!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the cupcake pieces, then added a hand cut cherry and a fun little flag.  To give it a some sparkle, a touch of glitter added to the edges really makes it shine!!

Be sure to stop by the Paper Bakery blog to join in on the celebration, there are FREE cut files...
and a giveaway too!!!

Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate the visit.

{Remember When}

This would be one of those layouts that I absolutely *loved* from the moment I chose which paper and embellishments I was going to use. That was until I went to add it to my album and noticed I had spelled the word "scouts" wrong. Oh well, it is what it is!
I still love the Pretty Little Studio paper and the sweet little banner flags though, they have such a vintage but modern feel to them.
Thanks for stopping by, and have an amazing weekend!

{Remember This!}

As soon as I took these pics of Gracie playing dress up (which is an everyday occurrence at our house!) I knew they would end up on a layout.
She loves mixing colors and patterns, and that's what I did here too. I used the "Bayside High" June kit from the Paper Bakery that has lots of new Heidi Swapp goodies. Don't you love the sequin arrow!!
I even added a bit of the packaging from the Vintage Chic Buzzwords. I just cut the b&w stripe borders off the front and back of the package.
I also used part of the packaging from the Paper Bakery. This cute crepe paper ruffle on the glassine bag was a goodie bag for all new member sign ups. Another custom embellishment ;)
Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate the visit!
