The Paper Bakery | hello!

Well, we had an amazing Christmas at our house, and are still celebrating with my mom & dad in-law that are here visiting. It hasn't left much time for scrapbooking, but I do have a layout to share, made with "Times Square", the December scrapbooking kit from the Paper Bakery.

I added the cute little chipboard camera from the kit, and layered on some of the other goodies too like the Jillibean Soup flashcard and the exclusive Paper Bakery flair button. I also added the sparkly sequin pocket.

For the sequin pocket, I cut a strip of the plastic bag the kits come packaged in and sewed around 3 sides, leaving 1 side open for adding the sequins.

Next, I added the gold sequins and then stitched on a small strip of the patterned paper.

To finish the sequin pocket, I glued it to my layout, a perfect way to add just a little bit of sparkle!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I always appreciate the visit!

Gift Card Holder | It's Almost Time!

Still trying to find a last minute gift? How about this cute red cup Starbucks gift card holder.
I used this cut file from the Silhouette store, modifying it just a bit, and also adding my own "cup sleeve" design.
Merry Christmas was printed onto the kraft cardstock with my Silhouette, using the green sketch pen. These were so quick and easy to make, and would be cute stocking stuffers too!

We are eagerly awaiting Santa's arrival tonight, cookies have been baked and reindeer food is ready to sprinkle on the lawn. Oh what a magical time!

Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Mary Ann

December Daily | Day 14

December Daily - day 14
Are you making a December Daily album this year?  This is my 3rd year, and I think I'm loving it a little more each year. I'm not adding anything fancy, just bits and pieces here and there.

Of course with my love for sequins you know I had to add a few of those in!
I filled it with yummy colors and some gold stars, then stiched the top closed.
I may or may not have more pages that I've added sequins to ;)

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Tic Tac Snowmen!

Today I have a fun little project that is so very cute and so very easy to make too!
Tic Tacs, a few scraps of patterned paper and this Silhouette cut file is all it takes.
These would be such cute stocking stuffers, or how about adding a name and using these as tags on Christmas gifts!

and still I wait

It's been 8 days that I have been trying to post on my blog.
7 of those days I have emailed Blogger.
2 of those days I have heard from them with a "sorry we're looking into it" response.
1 of those days (today) I can finally post, but now without pictures.
0 days of patience left!

The Paper Bakery | It's Christmas Time!

'Tis the season for Christmas layouts ;)

The day we had this photo taken wasn’t a day we had planned to see Santa. The kids weren’t dressed in anything christmas-y looking and it wasn’t the place we usually go with the beautiful backdrop that looks so pretty in photos. But, we ended up having pictures taken and wouldn’t you know, I love it!  Once again I am reminded that sometimes it’s not so much about the photo itself, but the memories that go along with them.
I used the "Holiday Charm" scrapbooking kit from the Paper Bakery, I especially like the North Pole paper by Echo Park, perfect for photos with Santa. The cute stars were cut with my Silhouette along with November cut files, and of course I had to add a few shiny red sequins!

Thanks for stopping by today, Happy Holidays!

1987 | Bella Blvd.

1987 was the year I had my first son, and the year I started scrapbooking. I know, you all thought I was barely over 30 right?  ;)   I scrapped this photo way back then for his baby book, but that was back in the day of limited patterned papers, and very few were 12x12.
This is one of my favorite photos of Andrew and my grandparents, I have always wanted to make a layout with it for our family album.  And, since I'm totally caught up on all my other photos (seriously kidding!) I thought why not scrap this one again.
I rarely, as in pretty much never, go back and scrap photos twice. It's usually one for the kids albums or one for the family album. But sometimes you love a photo so much once just isn't enough.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

The Paper Bakery | Welcome December!

The tree is up, "Buddy" our Elf on the Shelf has returned and even though the thermometer says 82°, our thoughts have definitely turned to Christmas. I even scrapped a Christmas photo!
A photo from Christmas Eve 2012, the little kids baking cookies for Santa and the "Holiday Charm" scrapbooking kit from the Paper Bakery.
I love the Teresa Collins glitter snowflake paper and the Heidi Swapp black script paper together, such a pretty contrast!  I added in some shiny red sequins from the Paper Bakery shop, and a few red stars from my stash.

Christmas music has been playing in my scrap studio the past few days, there's nothing like it to get you into the holiday spirit that's for sure, even if I have to have the A/C on ;)

As always, thanks for stopping by,
Mary Ann
