A layout just for me, just for fun.
He's 13, and I'm so very proud to be his mom. I can't believe he'll be starting high school in the fall.
I did a negative cut for the title using my Silhouette Cameo, then added the word heroes
Oh, and be sure to check out the 3 Birds Studio blog for a weak long National Scrapbook Day celebration! There's sneak peeks of their newest collection, and wow you are going to love it!

Oh The Places You'll Go! | Chic Tags

Here's a new layout I made for Chic Tags, using a photo of Gracie when she was just a little thing. After I printed the photo, I thought about all the places she had been while riding in that car seat, it reminded me of the book by Dr. Seuss which was perfect to use for a title.
I used my Silhouette Cameo for the title with a brush script font, that look is so popular right now! I love how it looks against the wood grain paper.
The cute map card was a perfect embellishment for this travel/adventure page.  Of course I had to throw in some of my other favorite goodies...doily, sequins, and bakers twine ;)
Supplies: papers, tag, card - Chic Tags; Die Cut Machine - Silhouette Cameo; Pen - Signo Uniball; Twine - Divine Twine , sequins, doily, paper clip

You Are My Happy | My Creative Scrapbook

Today I have a cute card made with the beautiful April Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. The best part...a fun surprise inside the card!
To start, I cut 3 rectangles of the patterned papers
(blue floral: 4.5"x3.5", light pink: 4.75"x3.75", dark pink: 5.25"x4.25")
I layered the rectangle pieces together on my card base, and added the "just a note" journaling card, a tiny scrap of a doily I had saved from a dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, and then the sweet little tea cup die cut.
To complete the front of the card, I added the "you are my happy" die cut using a foam square to give it just a bit of dimension.
And now for the fun part inside the card! I cut a small square of the plastic packaging the Thickers alphabet letters come in, and glued it to one of the Pebbles die cut frames to make a pocket.
Next I slipped another small piece of the doily and a tea bag into the pocket.
I finished off the card by adding the leaves, yellow flower and thinking of you die cuts, and also replaced the paper tea bag tag with the pretty pink flower.
I hope you enjoyed following along...Be sure to check out April's kits from My Creative Scrapbook!!

I Adore You Heritage Layout | 3 Birds Studio

This heritage layout was up on the 3 Birds Studio blog last week, I love old black and white photos, and feel so blessed to have had relatives on both sides of my family tree that took pictures even when times were tough. This photo of my grandparents taken in 1938, was the start of a new beginning for them, having just moved from Arkansas to California in search of a better life.
I used patterned paper with a design that reminds me of a flower bouquet. I gave a bit of dimension to the “bouquet” by adding stickers from the Graceful Season 3D Embellishments Kit, some leaves from the Quilled Cardmaking Kit, and a pretty flower from my stash.
Below the photo I added more of the 3D Embellishments, a few die cut leaves, and a sweet little yellow bow.

Cookies & Milk|Chic Tags

Here's a layout I made for Chic Tags, it's another one where I mixed and matched papers, tags and stickers from different collections.
My layout started with the cute "cookies & milk" card, since the photo is of Gracie making her favorite slice and bake cookies, I just had to use it! It originally said "cookies for Santa" on there too, but I cut that part off to make it my own ;)  I used my Silhouette die cutting machine to cut the circle mat cut file, then cut the wood grain paper (the notebook paper is on the backside) to add behind the circles. For more color, the teal cardstock was added to match the cookies & milk card.
I added a few buttons here and there to bring out the pops of red in the stickers, and my layout was complete!
Supplies: patterned paper, stickers, mini icon, card - Chic Tags, Silhouette cut file, cardstock, buttons

Hoppy Easter | 3 Birds Studio

I had a fun little Easter project up on the 3 Birds Studio blog, using the Graceful Season Quilled Card Making Kit.
I cut the bunny shape with my Silhouette Cameo, then used pink quilling paper for the tail, and the green quilling paper for the grass.
Two layers of the pink quilling paper made the tail extra full and fluffy!
I love these white frames from Ikea, and am already thinking what I can make to display in it for Summer ;)

A Lovely Day | My Creative Scrapbook

I have another layout to share that I made with the April main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I just love the colors in this months kit, so bright and springy, and as you can see, it all works perfectly with old black and white photos too.
It's my mom and grandma in the picture. My parents had bought their first home, and my mom had taken my grandma by to see how things were coming along as it was being built. What a great photo for our family history album!
I added in a few extra clouds that I punched out of cardstock, sprinkled some confetti here and there, and used the wording on the patterned paper as part of my title.
Oh, and how very cool is this layout that Ashli Oliver made using this layout I did a few years back as her inspiration. That's the very, very best thing about scrapbooking, the inspiration we get from each other!
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Lovely Day|My Creative Scrapbook

Anyone that knows me, knows that I do not like clowns. At all. Not even a blow-up Ronald McDonald clown (sorry McDonalds). But when your girl thinks he's pretty cool, you take a picture. And then of course you have to scrapbook it.
I used the March main kit from My Creative Scrapbook that had papers and embellishments that matched the photo perfectly!
To make the golden arches die cut, I found the image online, turned it into my own cut file and cut with my Silhouette.
A perfect custom embellishment!
Well, the weekend is almost here. Do enjoy!

Puddle Jumping

I made this layout a few weeks ago for Scrapbook Daisies, my local scrapbook store, using the new Splendid Sunshine collection from Echo Park. The colors couldn't have been more perfect for matching Gracie's raincoat and umbrella!
I fussy cut some of the clouds, then added a little machine stitching, raindrops cut on my Silhouette and iridescent sequins.
And yes, I realized I didn't have a date on this one after I took the photos. It is now dated so we know exactly when we had some very much needed rain here in So Cali ;)
