Adored | Three Birds Studio

** If you're looking for the Chic Tags/Some Odd Girl blog hop, please go here :) **
Hi everyone! Here's a layout I had up on the 3 Birds Studio Blog using the new Midday Medley collection. I just love this cute frame paper!!
I cut out a few of the openings and added the photos to the back of the paper so it looked like the pictures were actually framed. I also cut out a few extra shapes and added the fancy pink and white striped paper behind those.
I added the sweet little “adored” shaker box from the Midday Medley 3D Embellishment kit. The gold sequins inside look so pretty and sparkly on my layout!
To finish my layout, I fussy cut the flowers and adhered them with foam tape for a bit of added dimension, and added journaling and a few pearls from my stash.

A very Chic and Totally Odd Hop

We are VERY pleased to welcome you to A Very Chic and Totally Odd Hop!
Chic Tags and Some Odd Girl have partnered up to show you some magic that combines our products into BEAUTIFUL paper crafting projects! We're so glad you're here!

Now through Sunday at midnight EDT, you can enjoy some gorgeous inspiration from the Chic Tags Creative Team and the Odd Girls, leaving your comments at each stop along the way, and on Tuesday, July 1st, a winner will be announced at each blog... Both winners will get $15 to spend at EACH of the Chic Tags and Some Odd Girl shops!

You should have arrived from the Some Odd Girl blog; there are 11 stops in total. As you make your way around to each of the blogs, we are QUITE sure your head will be spinning with ideas! The Chic Tags Creative Team was certainly inspired by the fun Some Odd Girl stamps they received, and we think you're going to like what's in store.
I made my layout using the darling "Happy Day" stamp set, and the pretty Cloud 9 collection. I just love that sweet little cloud stamp! It looks so cute on any type of layout, and is perfect to mix with the wood veneer clouds!
I added a few of my favorite pieces of the acetate tidbits along with the "goodness" wood veneer, and then added in the arrow chevron stamp. Arrows and chevrons are so popular right now, this is my new favorite stamp!!! Of course I had to add a few sequins to the mix and a bit of mist splatter too ;)

From here, you're heading over to visit Mary Pat Siehl's blog.
Be sure to comment on ALL posts, and you'll be eligible to win!

In case you get lost along the way, here is your full hop list:

Thank you SO MUCH to Some Odd Girl for partnering up with us for this fun event, and to all of you joining

Yee HAW | Citrus Twist Kits

Here's a layout I made for Citrus Twist Kits as their June Guest Designer, using this weeks sketch.
and the sketch...
When I first saw the sketch, my eye went right to the great sunburst pattern!  It reminded me of the “Our Travels” paper in the kit that has a similar pattern, so that became my starting point. To make the starburst rays, I cut sections from the paper, then backed it with various patterned papers from the kit.

I added my die cut title in the same place as on the sketch, and then added all the cute star custom wood chips, the pretty blue washi tape, sequins, a few splatters of paint from my stash and the custom flair badge.  I love how a sketch can give you a starting point, and then you’re off on your own to create!
And remember, to play along with the Citrus Twist sketch challenge, upload your layouts to the gallery by June 28th to get your name in a drawing to win a $5 gift certificate to the CTK store. When uploading to the gallery you can name it as you would normally but please include "Sketch 6/22".

San Fran Sunset | Citrus Twist Kits

Here's a layout I made as the June Guest Designer for Citrus Twist Kits, using the custom stamps from "Beautiful Life", this months main kit.
To start, I added a few scraps of paper behind my photo, adhered it to my cardstock base, and then added some of the custom wood chip stars, (don't you love those sweet little stars!!!) and a few sequins.
Next came the Thicker letters and a die cut for the title, then a few more star wood chips and sequins on the other side of the layout.
Confetti and sequins etc. are so popular in paper crafting right now, and I love the look! It’s a nice way to add a bit of color and texture to a layout. Here’s where the custom stamps come in.
I used the dot circle stamps along with a black ink pad to add in with the sequins and star wood chips. It was a perfect way to add more of the confetti look!
To finish off my layout, I added the American Crafts newsprint tag along with the bakers twine that is tied around each kit.
Thanks so much for stopping by on this fabulous Friday, yesterday was finally the last day of school for us,  so we are excited to get our Summer started!!!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Camper | 3 Birds Studio

Hi guys! Here's a fun little card that was up on the 3 Birds Studio blog, but I haven't had a chance to share it here yet ;)  If you're like me, you like the convenience of email, but still love receiving mail in your mail box too. Sure a bill or two arrives in there also, but there’s nothing quite like a special card as a reminder that someone was thinking of you. So how about sending this cute card to a friend to brighten their day!
I selected this camper shaped cut file from the Silhouette online store, then cut the base of the card from cardstock.
Next I selected a few of my favorite patterns from the Midday Medley collection for the trailer and the banner, and used the silver foil paper from the 6×6 Foil Paper Pad for the inside of the tire for a bit of shine.
This was a quick and easy card to make, and I love how it turned out!  Usually when I make a card I send it off right away, but this one is still hanging around, I just can't give it up quite yet ;)

Mini Golf | Chic Tags

Hey guys! I have a new layout to share today, made with the darling Cloud 9 collection from Chic Tags. This was my girls first time miniature golfing, so of course I had to document her day ;)
I started by giving my cardstock a few sprays of mist, then adding the great chevron paper behind the open triangles of this cut file.
I did a little machine stitching on some of the triangles for a bit of texture, then used the same spray mist on this cute cloud wood veneer, and added the lovely day flair button.
I also added the misted geotag wood veneer, the sweet little heart die cut mini icon and the date label tag too. I finished it of with a die cut title, then wrote the story about her first time mini golfing on the back of the layout.
Supplies - Chic Tag: Cloud 9 "Lovely" patterned paper, Cloud 9 "Bloom" wood veneer, Cloud 9 flair button,  Cloud 9 Mini Icons, Cloud 9 Label Stickers, Let's Go "Traveling" wood veneer, Heidi Swap: mist, Bazzill Basics cardstock.

Citrus Twist Kits | 1919

I'm Guest Designing this month for Citrus Twist Kits,  here's another layout I made with "Beautiful Life", the June main kit.
You all know how much I love scrapping old black and white photos ;)  As soon as I saw the “Open Road” patterned paper by Crate Paper with those big blue flowers, I knew it would be perfect for a heritage layout! It has that old fashioned but modern look to it.

I started with a few layers under my photo, and even snuck in a strip of the sheet music paper from the kit. I punched a few heart shapes, then went back and re-cut the just a small amount off the edge to give them more of a hand cut look.  Next it was a bit of machine stitching down the center of the hearts, scattered a few sequins, then added the arrow stamp.
To finish it off, the Thicker numbers were added to the banner shapes that were cut from the Studio Calico “Green Acres” paper, along with a fussy cut flower and strip of washi tape to tie it all in.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I always appreciate the visit!

Citrus Twist Kits and a Giveaway!

I'm Guest Designing for Citrus Twist Kits this month, and have my first layout to share!

I did a little layering with the pretty papers, the sheet music and the doilies. The only "extra" things I included from my stash was the paint splatters, and the date. Yep, everything else comes in the kit including the custom woodchip stars, alphas and the sequins too!
I'll have more projects to share throughout the month, but in the meantime head over to the Citrus Twist blog and say hello, they're having a drawing for one of my favorite scrapping supplies and I'd love for you to win!!
