You are My Heart - Paper Issues

We're spotlighting the Crush collection by We R Memory Keepers over on the Paper Issues blog today. I'm not one to buy much Valentine's paper, but I'm really glad I bought this collection! There are so many pretty papers and cute embellishments that can be used for more than just hearts day, like this photo of my girl after a shopping trip to Target.

I layered the three 3x4 cards, (that were all cut from one piece of patterned paper)  and then added a few stickers and pieces from the ephemera pack. Oh, and the background paper, that was a left over mistake from a layout a few months back. I added some gold and red to the teal and grey mistake, and it worked perfectly for this layout ;)

As always, thanks for stopping by!  And, don't forget, use code: Mary Ann in the Paper Issues store for 20% off your total order!!

Showered with Love - Paper Issues

There's a brand new Issue up over at Paper Issues called Showered with Love! One of this months themes is love, so for my layout I used a favorite photo of my Grandma that I loved dearly.

I used pieces from Crate Paper's Hello Love collection and We R Memory Keepers Crush collection, both are available in the PI store (use code: Mary Ann to save 20%  your entire order!!) and then there's that amazing Artful Accents glitter garland from The Ribbon Resource by May Arts. Isn't it so pretty and sparkly! I cut the garland into different lengths, and then added them to the striped patterned paper. Next I added my photo, a few embellishments and journaling, then added the cute camera and flower cluster directly on top of the garland. I love how bright and colorful it is! Be sure to check out The Ribbon Resource, they have lots of beautiful ribbons, and that garland too!! A special thanks too to The Ribbon Resource for sponsoring this months Issue!!

You should play along with this months Issue! Just post your projects in the Link and Win album by the March 6th deadline, for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Ribbon Resource Store!!!

Happy Girl - Paper Issues

There's a new FREE cut file up at Paper Issues!

It's perfect for Valentine's Day layouts, or even those "I have a cute picture of you when you were three" kind of layouts too ;)

I cut some of the smaller heart shapes from a larger heart, backed it with the pretty pink ombre paper from Crate Paper's Hello Love collection then layered on the embellishments. This was such a fun and quick layout to make!

Hello Love! - Paper Issues

We're spotlighting the new "Hello Love" collection by Crate Paper over on the Paper Issues blog today!!  Here's my layout, and I may or may not have also snuck in that big gold G, that may or may not have been from a previous Crate Paper collection ;)

I added the ribbon to the tags, the gold G and my photo, then layered on a few more pieces to the tags. I love the flowery girly look!

February Take 5 Challenge - Paper Issues

Hello friends! Here's my newest layout for the "Take 5 Challenge" that I host over at Paper Issues.  In case you are new to Take 5, here's how it works: I give you a list of items to use as inspiration and starting point for your project. From that list, you pick 5 items to use on your project. You can combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list!! You could even win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!!

The challenge items items I used are: a heart, patterned paper, a sticker, an arrow and something gold. Here's the complete list, and remember, you must use at least 5 items!

1. the color red
2. the color pink
3. the color turquoise or teal
4. three photos
5. a heart
6. patterned paper
7. a sticker
8. a tag
9. a stamp
10. cardstock
11. foam dots or squares etc. anything to give dimension
12. an arrow
