Last month was the online Spring Crop over in the Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group. I made lots of fun layouts, but kinda forgot about adding them to the 'ol blog ;)
So here's this one, using an old photo of my mom and her sister on their first day of school in 1942. My grandma had written on the back of the photo "the girls in the dresses they made for the first day of school. I didn't help them but a bit"

I tried some water coloring on this one, and really like how it turned out. After it had dried, I added some machine stitching, a few splatters of black paint, then just started layering bits and pieces! I especially love that Sew Lovely die cut, and thought the bakers twine looked cute wrapped around it :)

As always thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to use code: Mary Ann in the PI store for 20% off your total order!
