Queen and Company - Thanks So Much!

I have a card up on the Queen and Company blog today,  it's my first project using February's Heart Throb kit!  This was my first time designing with one of the monthly kits, and I've gotta say I was surprised how much was included in the kit.

After making my card base, I added the sequins with just a tiny bit of glue. When the glue had completely dried, I machine stitched directly on top of the sequins.

To finish it off, I added the acrylic "thanks", and then the "so much" sticker with a piece of foam tape to give it a bit of dimension.

Here's a pic of the Heart Throb kit,  and as you can see I still have a ton of it left over. I'll have a layout coming up in a few days that uses a die and shaker box from the kit, I'll be sure to share it with you too!

As always, thanks for stopping by!!

Take 5 Tuesday Challenge - Field Trip Love

The Take 5 Tuesday Challenge that I host is up on the Paper Issues blog today!  For Take 5, I give you an inspiration and idea list of 15 items, and from that list you pick 5 items to use on your project. Sounds like fun huh??
For my layout, I used the colors red and white, stitching, heart and a banner as my 5 items. My favorite part is the cute blue paper with "moo, cluck, baa and oink" on it, so perfect for a layout about Gracie's field trip to the outdoor museum!

In case you haven't played along with the Take 5 Challenge, here's the inspiration and idea list to get you started. I'd love for you to play along in the Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group!

Remember This - Notable Quoteable

I'm playing along with one of the new monthly challenges over at Paper Issues! This one is called Notable Quotable, and the challenge is to make a project based on a quote. You can use the whole quote, part of the quote, a word, the colors, what ever inspires you!

Here is this month's quote:

And here is my layout, using a combination of the words "life" and "love", and papers and embellishments from the Hazelwood collection by American Crafts.

I didn't add a whole lot of embellishments to this one, just a few banner pieces, the stars and the arrow were layered in and around the title, and that's pretty much it! Quick and easy.

OK, so maybe not quick. I made this layout last weekend while I was at a scrapbooking crop, and I think I must have moved the words in the title at least 5 times, but in the end I went back to my first design and I'm happy with how it turned out, I like the sticker words mixed with the Thicker words.

Well, that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate the visit!

I'm So Lucky to Have You - Color Cast Designs

I have a new layout to share today using an old photo from when Tucker was just a little guy and some fun embellishments from Color Cast Designs. It's hard to believe that same kid is 16 now!

I used pieces from the cute "XOXO" set and the "This" arrow set.  I love that both sets have a combination of acrylic and wood veneer pieces to choose from!

XOXO and This arrow

I'm So Lucky to Have You
I also did some fussy cutting of those pretty flowers, cut the gingham heart using my Silhouette, and added a few more embellishments from my stash.
And there it is, another layout to add to the album!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
